The Forum is an accessible space where we open ourselves up to the outside world; where creating, making and researching is visible; where design, craft and technical proficiency sit alongside each other for mutual benefit and where business, academia and our immediate communities can collaborate, speculate and take shared risks. It is a disruptor which brings people and institutions together.  

Our work demonstrates that creative knowledge and skills can be brought together and developed by different stakeholders.  Many topics require innovative solutions that cannot be provided by single disciplines, and we work across boundaries to maximise impact. Our emphasis on practice, collaboration and partnership working forges new links between producers of knowledge and users.  We are aligning a culture of making, of action, of creating with a culture of research.
